Cooking Biryani with Love! The Bombay Style
- Wash chicken/mutton (500 gm) well.
- Add salt, ginger-garlic paste (20 gm), yoghurt/curd (200 gm), chicken & 3 tbsp of Diamond Bombay Biryani Masala & marinate it for 15 minutes.
- Put the marinated chicken into a pressure cooker.
- Wash rice (400 gm) & boil them.
- Remove remaining water from the boiled rice.
- In a pan, fry onions until they turn golden brown & take them out.
- In the same pan, add tomato puree, boiled chicken, chopped green chilli, fried onions & 2 tbsp of Diamond Bombay Biryani Masala & mix them well.
- Cook the mixture under low flame for 5 minutes.
- Add coriander leaves & layer rice over it.
- Add clarified butter (ghee) & some saffron leaves on the rice layer & serve hot biryani with raita or yoghurt.
